In the final maker meeting of the Fall 22 semester, we set up a maker playground to show off the amazing coat of arms projects that our makers created. This was a wonderful way to end the semester and displayed our makers' connection with each other.
The third cohort meeting happened on Tuesday, November 8th. With our coat of arms project coming to an end, we showcased a wonderful space for the makers to use. This project has provided great opportunities for folks to learn more about each other and we are looking forwards to the stories people will share.
Our second cohort meeting happened on Tuesday, October 18th. Everyone was excited to continue their work on the Coat of Arms project and to figure out what they will make it out of. The meeting was a nice break from the busy classwork all the students had.
On Friday, September 30th, UTeach Maker partnered with The Foundry Maker Space to host a session on using hand tools. The end product was a wooden frame that could be drawn on using wood-burning tools/.
Tuesday, September 13th was our first maker meeting for Fall 2022. We were all happy seeing each other again and to gain some new members. Some popular TV shows heavily inspire this semester's theme and we look forward to what our teams create.
Tuesday, November 2nd, marked our 3rd fall cohort meeting of 2021. We worked in teams to do a c-sketch, which is a way to spark creativity and ideas when collaborating with others.
On Saturday, November 14th, UTeach Maker used Zoom to host a weekend workshop. Makers and mentors spent time working together to explore the concept of ambiguity as it applies to making and to life. There was also time to work on their Maker Showcases.
Tuesday, November 10th, marked our 3rd fall cohort meeting of 2020. We worked on teams to adapt a maker measurement challenge that we had done last year for a remote setting. A fun and creative demonstration for making in a remote context.
