Tuesday, October 5th, was our second fall cohort meeting. The first half was dedicated to teacher panels and the the second half was for teaching cardboard cutting techniques.

On Tuesday, December 3rd, UTeach Makers participated in our final cohort meeting of Fall 2019. It was great to get everyone together to celebrate the accomplishments of Phillips, Niaz, and Derek as well as to welcome a new batch of future teachers who will be joining UTeach Maker this spring.

On Sunday, December 8th, UTeach Maker partnered with St. Edwards's University to host the final weekend workshop of the Fall semester at the UT Austin. Thanks to gracious funding from the Powell Foundation, future teachers from St. Edwards and UT Austin had another opportunity to build and create together.

On Sunday, November 10th, UTeach Maker partnered with St. Edwards's University to host this third weekend workshop of the Fall semester at the SEU. The workshop focused on using a variety of cardboard construction techniques in the classroom.

On Sunday, October 20th, UTeach Maker partnered with St. Edwards's University to host this second weekend workshop of the Fall semester at the Ann Richards Makerspace. Thanks to gracious funding from the Powell Foundation students from St. Edwards and UT Austin had the chance to build and create together. The workshop started with a Freebirds lunch and a time to catch up and explore the space.

On Tuesday, October 8th, UTeach Makers participated in our second cohort meeting of Fall 2019.The cohort meeting was lead by UTeach Maker Teaching Fellow, Kira Lowery, and current UTeach Maker, Phllips Adebayo. The two innovative educators demonstrated how to set up and use a classroom makerspace.

On Sunday, September 15th, UTeach Maker partnered with SEU to host this first weekend workshop of the Fall semester. Thanks to gracious funding from the Powell Foundation students from St. Edwards and UT Austin had the chance to build and create together. The workshop started with dinner and conversations, providing students from the different programs time to get to know each other. In addition, students participated in a community circle to share their backgrounds.

On Tuesday, September 3rd, UTeach Maker hosted this first cohort meeting of the Fall semester. It was great to see everybody back and hear their stories about what they had created over the summer. With over 30 makers and 6 mentors in attendance, Painter Hall was buzzing with excitement! The evening kicked-off with dinner and conversations, providing everybody with an opportunity to catch-up after the summer break.

11-18-2018 Picture 1On Sunday November 18th, Eric Schneider, founder and CEO of PATCHR.io was back for the second part of the create your own printed circuit-board (PCB) workshop. After the first workshop, UTeach Makers uploaded their PCB designs that were created in PATCHR.io. Over the past month Eric and his crew reviewed the designs for errors and milled them on their Bantam Tools desktop PCB milling machine.
