Tuesday, April 12th was the date of our third Spring 2022 Maker Meeting. It was incredible to see everybody in person after having our last meeting online. Every team solidified their ideas and came up with fantastic ways to make their project for APA.
Tuesday, March 8th was the date of our second Spring 2022 Maker Meeting. We held our entire meeting over Zoom to ensure that all of our makers could attend. We spent most of the meeting letting the groups talk and discuss what their semester project could be.
Tuesday, February 8th was the date of our first Spring 2022 Maker Meeting. We had some new faces show up and others join us over Zoom. We know some of our makers are busy in other places so we made the meeting hybrid. We also had a representative from Austin Pets Alive join us to talk about their program.
Tuesday, November 2nd, marked our 3rd fall cohort meeting of 2021. We worked in teams to do a c-sketch, which is a way to spark creativity and ideas when collaborating with others.
Tuesday, October 5th, was our second fall cohort meeting. The first half was dedicated to teacher panels and the the second half was for teaching cardboard cutting techniques.
Tuesday, September 7th, marked our first fall cohort meeting of 2021. It was the first time we have seen each other in person since the pandemic so what better way to start off than having a team challenge.
On Saturday, November 14th, UTeach Maker used Zoom to host a weekend workshop. Makers and mentors spent time working together to explore the concept of ambiguity as it applies to making and to life. There was also time to work on their Maker Showcases.
Tuesday, November 10th, marked our 3rd fall cohort meeting of 2020. We worked on teams to adapt a maker measurement challenge that we had done last year for a remote setting. A fun and creative demonstration for making in a remote context.
